    Freight Region Report

Tender rejection rates increased by over 3% during Blitz Week, with most regions (except the Pacific Northwest) seeing above-average rate hikes. Capacity is expected to return to normal this week, although produce shipments will stay high as Memorial Weekend approaches.

Last week reflected the current market trends. While produce season has started and some carriers took time off, the changes weren’t drastic enough to raise immediate concerns.

The next big challenge for the spot market will be rising import volumes, which could lead to tighter conditions. Experts anticipate freight rates to spike in July and August, so it’s a good idea to finalize carrier contracts soon.
